You have questions before you start. The answers are below.

Here are some of the things many ResPro customers are wondering early on in the process, and what many customers feel after completing the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wait… is debt validation the same as debt settlement?

Oh. No. Settlement is negotiating what I owe. Validation is asking debt collectors to prove the debt is real and that they have the right to collect it.

So… can ResPro guarantee my debts will be removed?

No. And I should probably be careful with anyone who says they can. ResPro can help me check the facts, review the paperwork, and challenge what looks wrong.

If they can’t prove the debt, does it just disappear?

Not magically. But if they can’t prove what they’re claiming, there may be limits on how they can collect it or report it.

What happens if they can prove the debt?

Then I know what I’m actually dealing with. That’s still useful, because guessing is what keeps this scary.

Will this show up on my credit report?

Maybe. If something is being reported wrong, incomplete, or unverifiable, it may be challenged.

Could debt validation help my credit?

Maybe. If something inaccurate or unverifiable gets corrected or removed, that can help my credit profile.

Can debt validation hurt my credit score?

Asking for validation by itself is not the same as missing a payment. But my full debt situation still matters.

So is this about fixing my credit?

Partly, maybe. But first, it’s about finding out what’s real, what’s documented, and what options I actually have.

Why not just ignore the calls and letters?

Because ignoring it keeps me guessing. Checking the facts gives me options.

So what is ResPro really helping me do?

Slow things down, check the paperwork, and stop treating every call, letter, or credit report item like a five-alarm fire.
